Perfectly situated cottages:
Our Two very comfortable non-smoking, self catering Whitby holiday cottage accommodations are both in prime locations and therefore both ideal for holidaymakers staying in Whitby.
Because our cottages have free unlimited broadband Wi-Fi, SkySat TV and other inclusive facilities this makes us quite popular throughout the year. Included in the price is all your bed linen and utilities such as gas and electric. In addition we leave out milk, tea and coffee ready for your arrival.
Our cottages are in two of the best locations in Whitby.
Awd Tuts Cottage is just 20 metres away from Whitby harbour so we are in an ideal location near to the beach but also in the centre of Whitby, near to all attractions. In rough weather you can hear the sea lapping at the steps down to the harbour.
River Views:
Similarly, Riverside Cottage has waterside views overlooking the River Esk with its own private balcony from which to enjoy them. For two reasons, our Whitby self catering holiday cottages are both very well-placed. Firstly to visit the North Yorkshire beach areas and secondly the surrounding countryside areas of the North Yorkshire Moors. In other words there are plenty of things to do and best of all, we know that our rental cottages in Whitby are quite reasonably priced.
We offer full weeks and also 2,3 and 4 night short breaks all year round.
Children welcome.
We may sometimes take pets and be be dog friendly after discussion with the pet owner.
In addition we offer you free car Parking at our Riverside holiday cottage.

Self Catering in Whitby:
Awd Tuts Cottage dates back to the year 1640 and has all of that ‘olde worlde’ charm and character with beamed ceilings and thick stone walls.
Awd Tuts Cottage is well placed for two main reasons. Firstly, guests love the location of this cottage as it is in the centre of Whitby’s old cobbled streets. Secondly, once you have parked your car there is no need to bother with it again for the duration unless you want to go sightseeing other nearby towns or attractions.

A little about Whitby
Whitby is a nice, quaint, traditional seaside resort in North Yorkshire that has Blue Flag beaches. It also has some of the best fish and chips around. It’s great to eat fresh fish caught just offshore and landed locally. There’s also so much more however to discover.
Fish and chips and ice cream
History and culture
Boat trips
Ghost Walks
Vampires and Goths

It’s all on offer at Whitby, one of the North East coast’s best-loved seaside towns.
With Blue Flag beaches and many attractions, including the world-famous steam engine of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, Whitby is the perfect base for a family holiday.
Whitby wallows in a rich history, including fishing and the jet industry too. Whitby is still the best place in the world to find the gleaming black gemstone on the beaches. This was so beloved by the Victorians after Queen Victoria started off the trend of Jet jewellery.

Captain Cook was born nearby.
His famous ship the Endeavour was Whitby-built. Whaling was also a very large part of Whitby’s past heritage too. A pair of ancient Whalebones still form the arch up to Whitby’s West Cliff. Whitby also has literary connections with Bram Stoker’s famous book, Dracula that features the town.
The vampire first came ashore here from Transylvania in the guise of a black dog. The Dracula connection inspired the world famous Goth Festival, which now takes place twice a year, in the spring and around Hallowe’en. You’ll find a host of things to keep you occupied both in and around Whitby.
