Excellent holiday home loads of room for us all decent sized bedrooms the kitchen was fully equipted and one of the only houses ive rented that has everything you need to make a meal on holiday we loved our week away here will defo be booking again the view from the house was amazeing what a lovely quiet area with lots of wildlife the kids loved it everything was amazeing for family time to be enjoyed on our holiday

Bunk beds make a lot of noise and not much storage in that room. Not a major problem just an observation

The view was amazing of the river and bridge. Walk along it and you are in Whitby along a pedestrian path which was great for the dogs.. the balcony was awesome too chill and have drinks. Perfect location and lots of parking. Host Mike was always helpful.

Some enclosed outdoor space for dogs would have been ideal.

Beautiful location ,peaceful watching the river and wildlife. Just a short walk into whitby, we have had a lovely relaxing stay .

Could do with some grip mats under the rugs , and a good spring clean throughout .

The cottage is in an amazing location. The view of the Victorian via duct and the River Esk is beautiful. We definitely made use of the balcony and also the garden patio eating out and watching the day and animals go by. Even wild deer out and about which was amazing. The boys loved playing in the grass in front and around the cottage. To be able to sit on the patio and watch them give them a little independence. The drive was only 5 mins into Whitby Centre, except at certain times of the day which is like anywhere with work traffic. It was just perfect. We also took our dog, and we had a lead hook into the grass on a lead in front of the garden which was perfect to give her freedom but also kept on a lead.

Everything here was perfect, communication with the owners was great too 👍 Second time I’ve been and it’s so chill , clean and comfortable 😌 Shopping was easy with a supermarket 7 mins drive away, and about same time into whitby centre. I usually do the viaduct walk into whitby which is lovely, but just chilled in the beautiful surroundings, watching the ducks and herons. We were lucky with the weather, it was 30 degrees . Id recommend this lovely cottage to anyone .

The location was excellent with ample parking close to the accommodation which was a real bonus. Facilities were generally good and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were excellent.

Attention to detail was slightly lacking. A knife block with sharp knives would be a bonus. The rugs in the sitting room were loose and kept slipping. The accommodation felt cold throughout our stay. We coped with the 3 storeys but not everyone would.

It is dated and in need of upgrade. Shower wasn’t easy access. Lots of stairs which we didnt realise. Access for disabilitues was difficult.

The location, it looked far out, but actually it wasn’t a long walk into Whitby. Parking was good, which is always a bonus. The heating was on a timer, but it was adequate for a cold January . Owner was easy to reach and was a good communicator

It is the first time that I have stayed anywhere where there was a coin meter to use the washing machine. Middle toilet was blocked, but there were two other toilets we could use until owner could sort the problem out.

Loved the location, short scenic walk into Whitby town centre along the cinder path. View was amazing loved the magnificent viaduct and watching the river rise and fall. Everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay.

A tiny bit dated and a bit creaky but having said that it was clean, well equipped, warm, with comfy sofas and beds.
