Directions to Riverside Cottage
DIRECTIONS
TO RIVERSIDE COTTAGE (WHEN YOU ARE IN WHITBY)
IF
YOU ARE DRIVING FROM THE SOUTH:
1) On the
A171 (HELREDALE ROAD) into Whitby, just before the 'NEW BRIDGE', turn
LEFT into LARPOOL LANE
2) Carry
straight on and pass by the following:
· LARPOOL CRESCENT on your left
· ESKDALE ROAD on your left
· LARPOOL DRIVE on your left
Drive carefully now as this is a narrow country lane
and you may meet oncoming traffic!
Shortly - approximately 300 metres further on:
On the RIGHT hand side you will see an entrance flanked by brick walls
- this will be signposted as
CAPTAIN COOKS HAVEN
Turn RIGHT into CAPTAIN COOKS HAVEN and follow the road all the way
down to the river and the Viaduct.
BEWARE
there are 6 speed bumps on the first
100 metres of this road and more further down the bank so take
it easy.
Drive up to the Viaduct and park up on the paved parking places beneath
it.
We are number 7 Riverside Walk and we face directly through the Viaduct
archway, which leads to the slipway.
IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM THE NORTH:
3) On the A171 (MAYFIELD
ROAD) into Whitby - at the 'T' junction traffic lights turn RIGHT and
carry on around the bend and across the 'NEW BRIDGE'
· Turn RIGHT into LARPOOL LANE immediately
after crossing THE 'NEW BRIDGE'
· NOW FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FROM (
2 ) ABOVE
RIVERSIDE COTTAGE IS NUMBER 7 FACING THE SLIPWAY
